Game Designer (In-house)
To improve our current results and reach new heights, we’re expanding our team and looking for a Game Designer (In-house).
What you will be doing:
- Development of puzzle, hybrid casual, and casual game projects;
- Conceptualization of game concepts and mechanics;
- Compilation of project documentation, including Game Design Documents (GDD);
- Collaboration with developers, artists, and animators (task formulation and assignment, creation of technical specifications, task acceptance);
- Development of game prototypes;
- Involvement in the full development cycle of gameplay features (new modes, new gameplay mechanics, improvement of existing game mechanics);
- Working with the Unity game engine (project configuration, level design, etc.);
- Balancing game mechanics;
- Analysis of successful projects in the market, tracking trends in the gaming industry;
- Searching for promising ideas and mechanics for new prototypes and games.
What we’re looking for in a candidate:
- Knowledge and understanding of the Puzzle, Hybrid Casual, Casual games industry;
- 3+ years of experience in the Game Designer position;
- Strong knowledge in the field of game design: gameplay mechanics, product metrics, level design, and UI/UX;
- Ability to prepare GDD and related documentation for execution;
- Experience working with Unity;
- Understanding of product metrics and the impact of features on them;
- Search for competitors and references of game mechanics;
- Ability to deconstruct games and determine their strengths and weaknesses;
- Knowledge of project monetization principles;
- Skill in generating hypotheses aimed at increasing product metrics, increasing LTV;
- Experience leading a feature from idea to release;
- Ability to express thoughts in a structured, clear, and concise manner;
- Ability to work in a team and build professional relationships with colleagues;
- Communication skills and organization.
Will be a plus:
- Experience working with Confluence, Jira; Git; SourceTree;
- Experience with analytics and analytical systems;
- Experience interacting with related teams (Art, Development) and knowledge of the specifics of their work;
- English proficiency (Intermediate level or higher).
